New Jersey Gaming Revenue Hits $596.4 Million in March Due To Online Betting

New Jersey gaming revenue surged to $596.4 million in March, marking a 9% year-over-year increase. The growth was notably driven by robust online gaming performance, which continues to reshape the state’s gambling landscape. Total gaming revenue reported by casinos, racetracks, and their partners reached $526.6 million, reflecting an 8.1% increase from March 2025. New Jersey online gaming revenues demonstrated particularly strong momentum, with internet gaming win hitting $197.2 million, reflecting growth of 19.0% compared to the previous year. Additionally, year-to-date internet gaming win reached $562.8 million, reflecting a 22.0% increase.
New Jersey Gaming Revenue Reaches $596.4 Million in March 2024
The Division of Gaming Enforcement reported year-to-date total gaming revenue of $1.70 billion through March 2026, reflecting 7.5% growth when compared to $1.58 billion reported for the prior year-to-date period. This cumulative performance demonstrates sustained momentum across all gaming segments operating within the state’s regulated market.
State tax collections benefited substantially from the gaming expansion, with New Jersey collecting $84.70 million in gaming taxes for March alone. The tax revenue reflects contributions from casino operations, internet gaming platforms, and sports wagering activities conducted by licensed operators and their authorized partners.
Casino win for the nine Atlantic City hotel properties reached $236.70 million in March 2026, registering a 2.5% increase from $230.90 million reported in March 2025. Year-to-date casino win totaled $652.90 million through March 2026, reflecting a 1.3% increase compared to the prior year-to-date period.
Sports wagering gross revenue contributed $87.60 million for March 2026, marking a 22.8% increase when compared to $71.30 million reported in March 2025. Year-to-date sports wagering gross revenue reached $268.40 million through March 2026, reflecting a modest 0.5% increase from $267.10 million reported in the prior year-to-date period.
Online Betting Surge Powers Revenue Growth
Internet gaming platforms delivered $272.1 million in revenue for March 2026, representing an 11.6% increase from the previous year. This performance nearly matched December’s all-time record of $273.2 million and outpaced the monthly total of $236.7 million generated by Atlantic City’s nine land-based casinos. Year-to-date, FanDuel Casino earned $179.6 million, up 23%, while DraftKings Casino reported $142.1 million through March.
Sports wagering activity cleared the $1 billion mark in total handle for the month, with $980 million wagered through online platforms. Online sportsbooks generated $84.4 million in revenue, while retail lounges contributed $3.2 million. FanDuel at Meadowlands led operators with $32.2 million, reflecting a 37.3% increase, followed by DraftKings at Resorts with $22.3 million[45]. Bet365 at Hard Rock demonstrated the sharpest growth trajectory, rising 149% to nearly $7 million.
The 14.3% hold for March contributed to a 40.5% revenue increase in parlay bets, reaching $46.3 million. Baseball wagering swung positively by nearly $2.7 million year-over-year, with operators claiming close to $2 million in winnings as handle increased 39.2% to $45.9 million.
Casino Win and Land-Based Gaming Results
Casino hotel properties across Atlantic City generated $239.80 million in casino win for March 2024, representing a 4.9% increase from $228.60 million reported during the same period in 2023. The nine licensed casino hotel operations demonstrated consistent performance despite the competitive pressure from expanding online platforms.
Year-to-date figures through March 2024 showed casino win totaling $656.10 million, reflecting a marginal 0.1% increase compared to $655.30 million for the prior year-to-date period. This modest growth indicates stabilization in the brick-and-mortar gaming segment following years of adjustment to the digital marketplace.
Individual property performance varied across the market. Resorts Casino, operating as DraftKings’ land-based partner, posted $13.40 million in March 2024 casino wins compared to $12.60 million for the same month in 2023. The property’s partnership with the online sports betting operator provided additional revenue streams through market access agreements.
Land-based casinos continue to secure revenue shares from internet gaming operations through licensing partnerships. These arrangements allow online operators to access New Jersey’s regulated market while providing physical casino properties with supplemental income beyond traditional floor gaming activities.
