ICE Expo Struggles To Find Date At Excel

Normally the first big gaming expo of the year, ICE London operated by Clarion Gaming is in turmoil following the announcement late last year that the show would be postponed until the Spring, however the iGaming Post has learnt that Clarion is struggling to find a suitable date at the Excel venue in London.
The Excel which is now the only large exhibition space in the capital after the closure several years ago of the once popular and home of ICE at Earls Court is now being brought into question why one of the biggest capitals in Europe would only have one large exhibition space.
According to information from sources close to Clarion, the expo operator has been offered the 19th April date but that coincides with the Easter and Passover Holidays, Clarion wants the following week of the 26th but one of the biggest events at the Excel being the Grand Designs expo is held on the 30th April making it almost impossible for both events to break down and setup in time.
The only other options is into June for Excel and there are now rumours Clarion could even look at moving the expo to Europe for an earlier date.
For decades Clarion Gaming and ICE had a unique date slot with end of January but with the impact of COVID over the last two years the winter event is in serious jeopardy once again of being cancelled or placed on a date that suits no-one.
