Matt Maddox To Leave Wynn Resorts

Matt Maddox the CEO of Wynn Resorts and who took charge of the company after the departure of its founder Steve Wynn in February 2018 has announced he himself is now stepping down.

In a company announcement the casino boss said he will be stepping down from the role at the end of January 2022 and Craig Billings currently the CEO of Wynn Interactive will assume the role.

Maddox said after four years as CEO and twenty years with Wynn Resorts he felt it was the right time to leave and hand over the reins to Billings who will step into the position on the 1st February.

Billings has a wealth of experience as he served as Chief Finance Officer for Wynn Resorts along with working in senior roles with IGT, NYX Gaming, Goldman Sachs and Aristocrat Leisure previously.

Philip Satre, chairman of the board of directors, said of Maddox: “The entire board of directors is grateful for Matt’s dedication and leadership of the company and thanks him for all that he has done.”

Maddox said in a statement: “This has not been an easy decision but I believe now is the right time for me and for the business.”
